📘 Course Components

• Online Theory (~30 hrs) – Work through the theory content at your own pace, learning the foundations of water safety, biomechanics, and teaching strategies.

• Practical Workshop (8 hrs) – Join our hands-on training session at FuntoSwim North Turramurra.

• On-the-Job Training (20–30 hrs) – Gain supervised teaching experience in real classes.

• Competency Assessment (1.5 hrs) – Demonstrate your teaching ability and readiness to work independently.

With flexible scheduling and experienced instructors guiding you, students often complete the course in as little as 4–6 weeks, though you have 12 months to finalise all steps.

You’ll complete core competencies from the Certificate III in Aquatics and Recreation, including:

• SISCAQU002 – Basic water rescues

• SISCAQU008 – Teaching water familiarisation and mobility

• SISCAQU009 – Safety and survival instruction

• SISCAQU010 – Stroke technique and progression
